Our success case 1: General Motors

from 1988 to 1990 @ Flint (Manufacturing), Michigan, USA

UGC competitively co-led in 100% transferring of the manufacturing of a General Motors automobile from a plant in Janesville, Wisconsin State, USA, to a plant in Flint, Michigan State, USA, for 100% manufacturing.  The automobile was hence manufactured in Flint, Michigan, in millions of units (M units)

-  All the automobile acceptable technologies for its manufacturing were transferred from Janesville, Wisconsin, to Flint, Michigan, & localized in the city. 

-  All other technologies for the manufacturing process assembling lines tooling, machineries and equipment were designed, developed, built, installed, launched, tried-out/debugged for the vehicle operations in Flint, Michigan

UGC was responsible for the 100% manufacturing of 656 units DAILY of full-sized Chevrolet Suburban SUV automobiles on a two 8-hours shifts.  Daily maintenance was done nightly on the 3rd shift.  These vehicles sold in the millions (1,000,000s) all across the USA, especially in Texas State, and globally.  Hundreds of thousands (100,000s) units of this automobile was sold and shipped out to many Middle-Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc.

UGC was ADDITIONALLY responsible for 100% manufacturing of hundreds of thousands (100,000s) units YEARLY of Chevrolet Blazer SUV automobiles. These vehicles were widely also sold across the USA and internationally.

Our success case 2: Shanghai GM

from 1996 to 2005 @ GM of China and Shanghai GM, China

UGC Automotives Technologies Company co-led in developing strategies on transferring technologies to, and localising of, the entire Buick Regal and Buick Century Cars (two different models) in Shanghai, China, working with GM World Headquarters, USA, and GM Asia & Pacific Operations, USA, at the old GM World Headquarters, Downtown Detroit, Michigan, USA, from 1996 to 1997

UGC Automotives Technologies’ main responsibilities included the design, development and management of technology-based methods for GM to enter and establish its supplier base 100% in China.  GM had NO prior supplier base in China before 1996, it was not available in China then.  UGC was also based at the GM China Project Center in Brighton, Michigan State, USA, 1996 to 1999.

UGC Automotives Technologies’ main responsibilities included the use of its designed and developed technology-based methods to search for, selectively recruit, develop and manage over 195 global (China, Sino/US, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, etc.) suppliers for SAIC-GM-Wulin plant in Liuzhou, China

UGC co-led the engineering DESIGN up-grade of the Shanghai GM Wuling (SGMW) Minivan in Liuzhou, Guangxi Autonomous Region, China, in the 2000s. The SGMW JV includes three parties: GM of the USA, SAIC and Wulin (both of China). 

UGC Automotives Technologies’ main responsibilities included the use of its designed and developed technology-based methods to search for, selectively recruit, develop and manage over 200 global (China, Sino/US, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, etc.) suppliers for the SAIC-GM-Wulin plant, Liuzhou, PRC
